The Company's objectives regarding Health and Safety Management are:

To provide for Safe Practices in vessels’ operation and a safe and hygienic working environment.

To prevent loss of human life and personal injury.

To prevent damage to the ship and her cargo.

To assess and establish safeguards against identified risks and to operate the ships within ALARP (“as low as reasonably practicable”) levels of risk.

To continual improve Safety Management skills of personnel ashore and aboard ships, including preparing for emergencies related both to Health and Safety.
In order to effectively implement its Health and Safety Management policy the Company:

Complies with all applicable laws and regulations, and applies responsible standards where laws and regulations do not exist.

Designs and maintains facilities, establishes management systems, provides training and conducts operations in a manner that safeguards people and property.

Seeks to identify and evaluate safety, health and hygiene risks related to its operations that potentially affect its employees, contractors or the public. Implements programs and appropriate protective measures to control such risks.

Determines at the time of employment and thereafter, as appropriate, the medical fitness of employees to do their work without undue risk to themselves or others.

Responds quickly, effectively and with care to emergencies or accidents resulting from its operations, in co-operation with industry organizations and authorized government agencies.

Stresses to all employees, contractors, and others working on its behalf their responsibility and accountability for safe performance whilst at work and safe behaviour outside of work.

Frequently inspects and audits the vessels and carries out necessary maintenance and repairs.

Undertakes appropriate reviews and evaluations of its operations to measure progress and to foster compliance with this policy.

Continual improves its Management System by taking corrective and preventive action for identified problem areas.

Provides adequate resources to effectively implement this Management System.
